by sunday i'll be on a plane flying home.
hai. i cant believe i was here since feb9!
im already starting to miss my jef, but then im also excited to start medical school this june. ngrrr. well, i know we'll be okay. last i saw him before feb this year was july 2006. that's more than a year not of seeing each other (not given web cams) hehe.. he said he'll be home december this year so i hope 7months will just breeze through.
i think we'll be starting a family. hmmm. now id better plan for it then :p

this is a late post.
these past few weeks, my mind seem to be in complete disarray because of the 'im married' and the 'im going home, have to pack' stuff..
anyway...
jef was on leave from april 5-11.
kuya whales, jef's former housemate, invited us to spend his hotel points thingy in virginia.
april 6 - sunday
we left dunmore (where we live) around 9am. we went over to kuya whales' place in philadelphia, roughly a 2.5 hour drive. upon arrival, we switched vehicles. kuya decided for us to spend 2+ hours roaming around Philly. after lunch, we drove to maryland to visit kuya whales' sister. she and her husband were both doctors from the philippines. they have two hyper-energized kids. we spent the night there.
april 7 - monday
before leaving maryland, we decided to pass by john hopkins hospital. i want to practice medicine there in the future. no.1 hospital in the US. mama's second-uncle was once chief of the cardiology department there. romulo baltazar. now there! if he can do it, then i have a fair chance to be that too.. though i prefer to be in a different department.
leaving john hopkins, we then went to washington dc. at around 2:30pm, we were inside harrington hotel. fifteen minutes later, kuya whales realized that it was april 7. he thought it was april 6. jef called the desk for a refund and another 10 minutes later, i was at the lobby waiting for jef and kuya whales to get the suv. kuya whales said we HAVE to be at the reserved virginia hotel before 7pm that night or else we would be penalized with cash. i said that would be ridiculous, but i guess they dont want to listen to a kid like me. (jef is 31, whales is 25 and im 22). because of the highway traffic, we arrived almost 8pm. we didnt get penalized.
april 8 - tuesday
this day went so wrong for me. i decided to sleep the whole day in the hotel room. we were supposed to go around the place but kuya whales decided to leave us. we shouldnt have left jef's suv at philly.
when kuya decided to come back, we all went to ripley's believe it or not museum. okay, so it didnt go entirely wrong.
april 9 - wednesday
we went to Busch Gardens.
ha! i survived the griffon ride with its 90 degree drop, baby!
april 10 - thursday
before noon we left virginia and drove back to washington dc. we arrived obviously late and so were sprinting all over the place. we were able to see and visit the washington monument, the WWII memorial place, the holocaust museum, the air and space museum, the US capitol and the library of congress. i wanted to see more of the place but sadly, it was already 5pm (museums close at this time) and jeffrey was already broke to rent an overnight room.
before returning to philly, we stopped by kuya whales' sister. we drove back to philly and arrived at kuya whales' apartment around 11pm.
april 11 - friday
we walked around philly more and entered the university of pennsylvania. we found jeffrey's ride covered all over with bird poop. we drove home that afternoon.

obviously i missed the up graduation ceremony thingy. hai. that's the problem with us october graduates: our cards tell us that we are 2007 graduates, that we belong to batch 2007 even if we 'finished' stuff during AY2007-2008. im having a difficult time analyzing my identity lately. im a bit sad that i didnt get to attend the grad ceremony, but not too sad really. if i did attend the ceremony, i would have been with people who are younger than me.
the act of thinking about it is what's eating me alive. i guess being here is the best thing for me right now.
